✨ Winery Overview
Founded in 1997 in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe, Barón Balché is a benchmark in the Mexican wine scene. The name pays tribute to “balché,” a ceremonial Mayan drink, reflecting the winery’s cultural roots. The estate blends ancestral techniques with modern winemaking technology to create exceptional wines that consistently receive national and international recognition.
🍇 Vineyards and Production
Barón Balché manages over 32 hectares of vineyards, cultivating Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, Syrah, Petit Syrah, and Zinfandel. The winery produces 18 labels, including 14 reds, 3 whites, and 1 rosé (clarete), totaling more than 20,000 cases annually.
👨🔬 Winemaker
Since 2014, the winery has been led by Óscar Delgado Rodríguez, a visionary enologist who emphasizes vineyard health and terroir expression. His wines balance complexity, elegance, and typicity.
