Art, Passion & Sustainability in the Heart of the Valley 🍷🌿✨
Tucked away in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe, where the sun kisses the earth and the breeze dances through the vineyards, you’ll find Sol y Barro—a winery like no other, where winemaking, sustainability, and artistic expression come together in perfect harmony.
This hidden gem is the vision of Aime Desponds, a winemaker, painter, sculptor, builder, chef, and engineer from the French side of Switzerland, whose passion for creation and respect for nature is reflected in every corner of this space. More than just a winery, Sol y Barro is a living work of art, where adobe and clay architecture seamlessly blend with the landscape, creating a warm and inviting sanctuary.
What truly sets Sol y Barro apart is its deep commitment to sustainability and minimizing its carbon footprint. Aime Desponds believes in working with nature, not against it. From eco-friendly construction methods to organic vineyard practices, every detail is carefully designed to respect and preserve the environment. Here, the vines grow in harmony with the land, without harsh chemicals or aggressive interventions—just pure, honest winemaking.
The wines at Sol y Barro are a reflection of their creator—bold, elegant reds, crisp, vibrant whites, and everything in between, each bottle telling a story of patience, dedication, and a deep connection to the land.
As the sun sets over the rolling vineyards and the firepit glows under a starry sky, Sol y Barro invites you to slow down, sip, and savor the beauty of life, where art, nature, and wine come together in the most magical way.
💫 Sol y Barro: Where art, earth, and wine create something truly unforgettable. 🍷🌿

An Intimate and Unique Wine Experience at Sol y Barro ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My wife, Sarah, and I visited Sol y Barro on Saturday, June 2024, and it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience in Valle de Guadalupe.
The winery itself is small and charming, built with natural materials that blend beautifully into the landscape. The wines were exceptional, each one telling a story of craftsmanship and passion.
What made our visit even more special was Aime, the owner, who personally guided us through the tasting. His knowledge and passion for winemaking were evident in every explanation, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. His warm hospitality made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just visitors.
If you’re looking for an authentic, intimate wine-tasting experience, Sol y Barro is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back! 🍷✨
